Yes, that is expensive and probably excessive but the game is clearly worth the money for the amount of hours played and a new copy will be more usable than trying to remove stickers. My honest opinion is that if you’re going to play through the game a second time, just buy another copy. I would only justify purchasing the extra set of stickers if you’re either going to sell, give away, or replay the campaign of the game. You can use an exacto blade to peel the stickers off and some rubbing alcohol to remove the stickiness but that’s cumbersome and again, not the point of this sticker set. I exclusively started out using the Removable set as I realized that we may want to play this game again with new players but this sticker set was as permanent as the base stickers turned out to be (I switched once I realized the removable stickers didn’t matter). Once the stickers are affixed to the board or elsewhere, they’re pretty much there for good. This set does provide a replacement version of every sticker in the game but I cannot say that they can be cleanly or easily removed. I agree to the first part of that statement but not the second. With care, these stickers can be used several times.” The stickers can be cleanly removed without tearing or leaving any sticky residue behind.
