The XP partition will probably stick around a while longer.After a while using puddletag I think you'll find you're comfortable deleting that partition and removing Wine :). I think I will uninstall WINE - it is a stain on my Linux system. I never tried mp3tag under WINE, but I've used WINE for text editors.

You summarized my situation perfectly as you described keeping a Windows partition solely for the sake of running mp3tag. I'm rethinking my entire project.Could you elaborate on the issues please, or post a bug report on googlecode? Have you used the Stored Tags window to inspect the underlying tags? I've been struggling with my tagging effort which is overly obsessive. I'm using custom tags and puddletag shows their existence but their values are incorrect.

Thanks!Glad you like it, I've got to clarify though that whilst I've contributed many of the ideas you see in puddletag, I'm not the man responsible for writing the code - without him, there'd be no puddletag. I didn't try to write tags 'cause my NTFS partition was mounted read-only.
